I would recommend just picking up the step drill bit set from Harbor Freight... I have them and they work excellent.

just outta curiosity what did you use to cut yours down i may have the option of a ban saw come monday, would this be my best bet? I would like to get a fairly straight cut

^^^^ What measurement did u go with. I wanted to do this to mount a fire extinguisher and my hilift diagonally across and thats a good idea with the net it would be good for the dog. where did u get that
