So if I get yellow KC light covers, does that mean that I am one step closer to Mcfly's truck, if it was a 4runner?

marc....i just fit one in mine this last week...i cut 2.25" off all 4 corners and welded a 1/8" piece of plate to the bottom of the legs for mounting tabs. No pics yet since I didn't have time to bolt it down yet. I'll get pics when it's done. it clears the plastic panels on the top of the cab by about 1/8"

I am loading myself up with more things to do now.....I just bought an All-Pro front bumper.
Now I have the roll bar, e-locker, axle shims, and front bumper to install!!
All will be easy except the e-locker. The mods to the housing are a little daunting to me...the idea of drilling and tapping has me nervous....where is Robinhood when I need him.

Well it can't hurt considering it is bolted in just like on the 1st gens. Mainly it makes an excellent place to mount a fire extinguisher, hi lift, co2 bottle, full size spare, etc.... I will use it for my co2 bottle mount and a fire extinguisher and possibly my hi lift. Sure you could have something fabbed for you but that is $$$ plus this is actually part of toyota history. Like haveing something cool from your older brother.

I just bought one yesterday from a guy on Craigslist for $21.00!
He wanted $25 but i forgot to bring "change" so he said $20 would be cool...i kinda felt bad so i dug into my pockets and found an extra $1...and gave it to him. lol
I'm not sure whether to put it in my 3rd gen or keep it until i find/buy another 2nd gen.
I hope you show us how it really done Marc cause it would be nice to have for future reference.
