You can look into an add-a-leaf.
I did that on mine, doesnt ride too terribly.
You can also go find another leaf pack from a similar year toyota pickup or 4runner, and add a few extra main leaves into your pack. Works pretty well, and is like an AAL, but softer and flexier.

 

hmm my uncle owns a small salvage yard, he said he'd sell me some 63 chevys with shackles for $40 for the set, i may just do that

 

Rebuild your packs or get new springs. Dont run 8" shackles that's a half ass way to fix the problem imo
