Front bumper mounts

Playing with a bumper idea, am curious what the limitations are for these bolt locations.
bumper will house lights and recovery points, leaving room to possibly install winch in the future.

would the front crossmember bolts circled hold?? what do 'yall think?

Driver side shown, 4 bolts total

First draft, planning on 1"x3" tubing, 3/16" thick to save weight. Winch mount would be 1/4" if I decide to install

I would not rely on just those holding anything.

i second what BBP said.
especially since it looks like that nut has what looks like rust bubbling up around it it.

Here is a pic of the T-G front bumper before i mounted it on my 94 4runner. . it has additional side mounts

Need to figure out some different turn signals

maybe this will help give you some ideas

i also have one of these on the shelf to help re-enforce the front crossmember. it just goes behind the winch plate.

Grain of salt. I still haven't gotten to the point where I need a front bumper, but I've been doing my own research....

That's where the trail gear winch bolts on (and the upper tabs, which you don't have, not sure what the pattern is there).

The bumpers have another tab on either side that go to the body mount.

They also suggest a Frame reinforcement to beef that all up.

I did purchase the frame reinforcement, it should be here today. Realistically I want good recovery points on the front and leave room for future add-ons.

I do LOVE the look of the stock bumper and would hate to take it off......I'll keep drawing and see what comes to mind
