Yes, thjat is true, but not in stock form... I have ran that setup, and tossed it..

The 20r head only flows better when the bigger valves(BIG $$) are put in, then the bowl area reworked and ports are ported... And, then, you end up with a motor with ZERO bottom end, and sorry to say, but thats all good and dandy for street use, but worthless for off-road aplication.....

Crash is "zero bottom end" defined as no torque or am I missing the big picture?

Sorry for the poor explanation, yes, I meant torque. The last configuration I did, I ran an adjustable camshaft gear to change the torque curve of the cam, and even then I still could not get anything worth mentioning...

i think it's somewhere between 1500 and 2k

i'm still willing to save my money for it, i like the idea of it's simplicity and tunability. plus, if i decided to go to a v6 later on, i could bolt it on top of that motor as well, since it's completely standalone

Hey thanks 85runner, I don't know if I'm gonna do the efi swap right yet-I have to find more injection or wait on that kit that was previously mentioned. I can get the title for the 2wd 88 that I thought was a donor vhicle. So I'm gonna rebuild it and daily drive the wheels off of it, and sell my Mustang and have like 8K to dump in the 4WDYota -- Bank. I'll keep you posted, "BIG" mods are coming for the Yota.

hey wade, what kinda 2.8 do you have for your samurai?

i was thinking about picking up a cheap 2.8 out of a ranger, bolting on a t5 or other 5 speed and using the OTT divorced adapter to mate up my toyota cases...but i'd be concerned about losing my yota reliability
