Dunno..."Overlanding rack"

I want to put a tent like the ones on the overlanding rigs in the mags on my 94 pickup. Has anyone here built the rack that they sit on above the bed for a small yota? Are they available pre made? I want it made of aluminum for weight savings. If anyone has the specs for one, my buddy has a fabricator/steel erector company and will give materials and labor way cheap.

Theres also this one. You'll have to scroll down a bit to see the one on the pickup.

Theres not a lot for pickups. And this ones got a hefty price tag. Suppose you could just buy the tent, then just build your own rack.

That is exactly what I wanted to do. I was looking for specs, angles, tubing sizes. Basically, technical info. I wouldn't want to collapse in the middle of the night. LOL

OK, the tent at sierra expeditions costs the same as a used truck! With some looking, I am sure I can find a better price. Here is one site: http://top-tent.com/frontrunnerrooftoptents.htm
I may have to buy the tent first then fab up the frame to mount it.
