Overland Expo 2009

Overland Expo is the first-ever event exclusively for the overlanding community. Join title sponsors Sportsmobile and Overland Journal April 24 – 26, 2009, in central Arizona’s beautiful Prescott Valley.

You will meet fellow overland enthusiasts from all over the world to share experiences and learn new practical skills as well as tips on how to get out there exploring your world - whether 100 miles or 10,000 miles from home.

Overland Expo features:
  • On-site adventure driving courses for 4WD and motorcycle
  • Hands-on instruction from Overland Training
  • A large product and service exposition
  • Lots of opportunities to "try before you buy" - from roof tents to trailers to recovery gear and much more
  • Feature vehicles
  • Evening social programs
  • On-site camping
  • Kids are free – daycare available
  • Instructors and guests from the global overland community, including Overland Journal’s staff, contributors, and featured vehicles.

The Overland Experience package includes all of the above at a special introductory price. Packages are limited – sign up now! (Price will go up after February 28, 2009)

Overland Experience Package Single – $245 one adult
Overland Experience Package Double - $455 two adults (one vehicle; kids are free)

Additional adults per vehicle pay the Overland Experience Package single price, each person. Overland Experience attendees taking the technical driving course classes must be at least 18 years old; any non-driving class is open to 16 years and up.

Day passes will be available, and can access the Expo exhibits and vendors, and view the driving courses from the grandstands.

Now is the time to rediscover the joys of camping - in a way you've never imagined, in comfort and safety and style. And in tight economic times, camping and overland adventures are still the cheapest way to have fantastic vacations. Compare the cost of a 4-day theme park vacation for four with that of four weeks exploring the Four Corners or Mexico - not only a quarter the cost, but incomparable in memories.

Overland Expo is being produced for expo sponsors by ConserVentures, an Arizona-based event and conservation consultancy.

And just as a clarification for folks....the day passes are not much money if you were scared off by the full expereince price.
I am really looking forward to this event since there is nothing like it in the USA. Even at SEMA there weren't as many overlanding related companies as this event should draw.

Disabled Explorers will have a demo rig waiting for anyone with a physical mobility issue to check out and we are working on setting up something on the test track.

Come camp with us and have a blast in Sunny Arizona.

I sure would love to go, but alas I can not get the time off of work as my vacation does not kick in until after the event.

This is going to be big, and I encourage members to attend if they can.

Thank you very much Tim for taking on the task of representing us here at YotaTech.

I so much wanted to attend this, but can not get the time to attend.

I am looking forward to the pictures and videos that will come later from this, and the coverage in Overland Journal.

Cool, maybe next year for me if I can get the time off.
What tent did you end up getting?

There are so many cool rigs in those pictures.
I really liked the Panzers (spelling) too.

This little off road version of a teardrop is very cool.

Doubleshot of the Bajaracks rigs

Cool picture of a 55 pig
