First, the truck is a DD and rock crawler. No kidding there is not a lot of prerunning in CO. There are also a million people here who never take their truck on anything more than a dirt road. Doesn't make it right or wrong.

Second, because I could. Honestly, that is the only reason that will matter here.

To put some tech and theory behind it:
When you swap IFS trucks, if you want to keep them reasonably low, as I did, and you want to use them daily, not just as a beater, which I do, you have very little vertical up travel.

On a DD truck, this means road bumps are speed are rough with poly bumps. On the trail, steep verts or any speed result in a brutal ride. Been there, done that.

I have not lost any travel, I can compress those little buggers slowly or quickly. This thing, on 37's with leaves and links rides, corners, steers, drives, tracks 1000% times better than IFS ever did.

And yet again, the mistake that axle swaps are for travel.

I could have sworn I said that I didn't want to come across as rude. It was just a question and he did a good job of answering it. If that's what you call trying to drag someone down than you are way too sensative.

I hear what you are saying.

To me it is one thing to say, "Hey, that is neat, never seen it, why have you done it?" then just leaving it at that.

I take it a different way to hear, "Hey, that is different, why did you do that? I have never done it, but what you did couldn't possibly work."

I am glad the explanation made sense. I am not sure too many others have chosen to do it this way. When researching it, most people said it was too expensive, but no one ever said it wouldn't work.
