No. A buddy of mine got the UHMW rod and I offered to do the machining for him.
We do have 37" of UHWM left though....

37" should be almost exactly 3 bodylifts for the 2nd Gen runners.
Looks like fun tools and a fun project.

It will hold up very well...since you have so much extra, let me know how much you would want to lift my 92 back up to stock height. A check will be in the mail immediately.

That's if they are all 1" BL's.Originally Posted by Flygtenstein

The ones I did were exactly 2".

It will hold up just fine, likely better than a real body lift (if you are talking about the POS Performance Accessories version). UHMW has been on my rig since last year this time. Not sure of the manufacturer of this piece. It may be Solidor. They have a plant here.Originally Posted by 93TACO

I got mine from Roger Brown - like many members here. Roger has sold literally hundreds of body lifts. He IS the authority as far as I'm concerned. We are not going into business with this stuff. We will likely finish up the stick and it will be installed locally. Sorry.

It is on and fit perfectly. Even the front mounts where 2.5 was supposed to be too big. I took the steering shaft off and lubed up the slip part of it to allow for the height and took the bottom lip that is removeable off the fan shroud and it seems fine in around town driving.
I will have pics early next week when the 33 inch MTRs arrive.
Mike, are you ready to go wheeling?

You're going to make me "rig" my OBA so I'll have lockers aren't you?

Whenever you're ready, I'm game...

The more the merrier. Maybe we can get Bill (PAhhydrohead) and Sludge out too so the Toy's will really outnumber the Chevy... Originally Posted by DMG

Have you seen a big creme colored 85 Runner riding around here? I was going the opposite way on 28, but it looked really clean - I think it was on 37's.
Wow! That's a big difference! Looks great!
How do those 33's do stuffing in the wheelwells? I'll try to stop by next week.

Are those 33" x 12.5" MTRs???? I didn't think you could safely mount a 12.5" tire on the stock 7" aluminum rim.Originally Posted by DMG
Here is a pic with the MTRs on. 2 inches clears them nicely.
Mike,
I have been planning on buying one of Roger Brown's body lift kits for my truck for quite a while but if you still have the UHWM......now I have to go back and mull over the pros and cons of 1" vs 2" blocks or maybe something in-between since you're cutting it.
Also, just got a reply from Flygtenstein on another thread and the Cruiser coils will give me more lift than my Downeys so I may be interested in your second pair. Didn't you say you had two different sizes?
Bill
Bill - figure out what you want to do for height on the blocks and we can work something out. I have two sets of Cruiser coils. All 4 are within 1/4" of each other in height if memory serves...
I think 7" wheels with 12.5's will give you odd treadwear on the road if you aren't religious about rotating them. My 15x8's might be on the block (I'd like to move to 17's at some point)
