bumper ideas...

Okay, so I've been bored lately and decided to design some bumpers for the SLO-Runner. Here's what I came up with. Now, I'm not going to have these anytime soon, but the ideas will hopefully make me want them sooner. Ha ha. Money is the issue, of course. Let me know your thoughts and opinions. I'm still debating if i want to get a winch or not. And the tire carrier idea, if I do it, will take even longer.

Front:

#1

#2

#3

(my favorite)

Rear:

#1

#2

is the difference between #2 and #3 the winch??

id say do #3 of the front and add in the fogs from #1.

i like both looks for the rear bumper, but i think #1 is cleaner and fits your rig better...

just mho...

Yeah, I was bored.

As for the bumpers, I'll hopefullt be doing some of the work. My buddy will probably be doing most of it. He built bumpers for his Grand Cherokee and has all the tools, so... Yeah, the difference between 2 and 3 is just the winch. It all depends if I can afford it and how far the bumper is going to stick out with one. We'll see. And I don;t think a tire carrier is going to go on the rear. Maybe a ways down the road if i run bigger than 33s. Right now, I'm just going to stick a spare in the back. Thanks guys.

Use a 31 X 10.50 X 15 as a spare - then it can be placed underneath like I did mine. The 2nd generation tail gate and roll down window is useless with
a spare tire mounted back there. I bought one of the spare carrier cable
units and mounted it underneath - had to modify the tail pipe but it works very well and there is no spare in the back of my runner to kill somebody !
