Body lift fab question

Iam in need of some questions answered for me... I need to know how long each bolt is in the stock body mounts plus the thread size so i do not need to get new nuts for the mounts, or if you know what came with the aftermarket body lift kit itself that would help me to. Now my next question is i need to know the dimensions for the bolt used in the 1 inch diff drop, this would be the length and the diameter, if any one knows this info it would be appreciated, also pm me if u do know the answeres

Well backyard,

What are you lifting?? That's pretty pertanant info for your ?'s

Regardless, the bolts sometimes differ from mount to mount. They are the same from side to side but not front to back. It's easy enough just to take one out at a time and measure and get the tread pitch. That's what I'd suggest. You'd also know for sure and not be takin' someones word for it.

Not sure on the diff drop either but that should be the same. Just take it out and measure it. I don't think your truck will fall apart if you just do one bolt at a time.

You makin' your own body lift and diff drop??? If you are...

Roger Brown probably has that info posted on his page somewhere...he makes HIGH quality stuff - so he'd be a good model to follow: http://www.4crawler.com/4x4/ForSale/ProductLine.shtml

Sorry that i didnt add that i have a 99 taco reg cab, i just didnt want to take the bolts out of the cab mounts just to get a measurment, i fig that some of you have done body lifts and had the old bolts layn around the house, though i didnt think of taking out one bolt on the diff for a measurment.

The cab bolts have the nuts that come off so you can replace em with G8 if you wanna. The bed has the nuts welded to the body so you need to match the bolt dia. and thread on the bed.

I dug out a set of old body bolts from a Tacoma I lifted for a TTORA member.

I'm not 100% sure but the cabs are all M10's with 20TPI. 2 are about 4.5" long and 4 are 3.5" long. These can be replaced with standard 3/8" x 3 1/2" & 4 1/2" bolts, wahsers, and nylock nuts.

The bed bolts are all M12's (this is the part I'm not sure about, I heard M14's but my measurments tell me M12's). They are all just over an inch long (1" worth of threads and 1/8" of reduced shank sticking above the threads) and also have 20TPI.

Keep in mind, these are stock body mont bolts for a 95.5 Tacoma.

Hope it helps.
