Looks like plexiglass. Hey just a suggestion it's super simple to modify your front corner lenses to accept a double filament bulb socket. Just wire the power for the blinker to the other wire coming off the $5 socket you can get at any parts store and your corners double as blinkers so you don't have to have the ghetto zip tied on blinker set up.

I was just thinking the same thing.

You won't be able to remove 12" behind the wheels if your using leafs. Don't they will mount almost all the way to the back of the frame as is.

Next are you doing this for looks or trail clearence?

I am not a 100% sure, but I think he just took the top half of the original gate and glass and made it work. It doesn't roll down of course.

I have seen a few graft the back of a pickup of similiar year onto the front cab. I think I'd go that way, and keep the sliding window.

But the Mossy rig didn't shorten the body, just lowered the COG by removing all that top weight. Of course, that's not your interest at this point.

Does the shorter spring give you just as much lift as you have now? Doesn't that still put your rear mounting point 24" behind the center of your axle?

I'm not trying to be a jerk, I just curious.

Ahhh thanks elvota. I couldn't remember if he had bobbed it or not, but now I guess it doesn't really apply at all, it just looks dang cool.

Its cool. No the center pin on the Toy springs are like 3" off center. So you would end up with something like 27" from front of spring to axle and 21" from the axle to the shackle.
Now the 48" is measured along the arc of the spring so those measurments arent 100% accurate.

The springs I have are 5" Toys. Now im running the chevies with a 3" block and a 7" shackle. So I should be able to make it the same height by either shortening the shackle and/or using a 1" or 2" block. Im thinking the 7" shackle and no block will work.

I'd definitely agree. One of the better modified 4Runners out there, especially a 3rd Gen.

nice that would of been really cool if toyota made that. all you need now is a removable soft top like a jeep to seal the rain out. seems like a good idea.

Here is my idea of a perfect Toyota truck. 4 doors and a small bed. No bob but would be lighter without the back half.
