I am deleting the rag joint in my 91 2wd pickup and am trying to locate a connector that will slip on the input shaft to the steering gear. Would like to have the part before i do the work. Anyone know what the tooth count and size is?

 

This will probably sound stupid but why not count the splines on your steering shaft

 

Yes I could go out and tear it apart and count myself. as I said I would like to have the part before I do that. Though if it was something someone here knew off the top of their head, it would be helpful. thats what these boards are for right? helpful?

 

So they are all the same across the years ??

I have a steering column floating around from a mid eighties truck I would be glad to look if your sure it will be the same.

I had quite a run of wrong measurements over the years from customers

 

Thanks!! I have no idea either if they are the same. hum. looks like I will just have to dig it out and pull the shaft. guess it can just sit in the drive for a while.

11/16"-36 Spline. not 100% but I think that is correct. sound right to anyone?
