92 4runner Front Bumper Build

Found this bumper in OKC for $75 so I had to have it, it's not home made..but idk the brand. Guy said it was on a 2nd gen pickup.
I'm going to have a welder buddy make me some brackets tomorrow maybe, just to mount it to the truck so we can start some fabwork.

I'm going to cut some of the bumper up, like the sides. And a little out of the middle as well.
I'm also goin to add some steel to the bottom, and we're going to add some spots for foglights as well! Might add spots for four foglights, idk.
After that I'm going to get some 1 3/4" .120 wall DOM tubing for some grill and light protection. I'm going to try to post pics from my iPhone, but idk how well that will work out
I'll keep you guys updated and post pics as soon as I can if my iPhone decides to not post pics.

I'm going to be borrowing ideas off of SEVERAL different custom bumpers designed and built by my fellow yotatech members.

Hardest thing in my eyes is going to be making the mounts.
I have the steel to do it with, 1/8", 1/4", 1/2", and 1" thick plate. I just don't know how to do it really.

Mainly because the stock mounts on 4runner are wimpy. Anyone has any ideas feel free to tell me

EDIT: also going to put a couple of places to put some shackles.

the "stock' mounts on the bumpers are wimpy. but my TJM is Solid. they're pretty complicated though if you were going to remake them.

I'm going to make my mounts out of 1/2" steel plate for now, just temporary...I'm just gonna mount it where eve I can on the front so the bumper sits where it should, after that i can start making some templates on what needs to be done to make it look right since to me it looks like crap right now

get a set of pro comp explorer 55's. they're like a 6" deep dish light that can easily be HID'd

check out ebay. i know there's tons of off-road lights there, and tons of options for what you might be looking for.

do you want round or rectangle?

i would like Round.

Like the 4" PIAA lights, but i don't want to have to sell my left arm to afford two of them...lol

Bumper has been put on hold, the guy that i found to do the building had to go back to Italy (weird...he can only stay in the states for 3 months then has to go back for a bit)

i'm hoping i can find another person to do the work, the guy from Italy did GREAT work, Off Road Technologies is the company, fabrication and warehouse is in Stroud, OK where i was working.

the guy does GREAT work, even thought about having him build me a bumper based on a JK bumper.
