I am looking at a 5mge from a 83 cressida to put into my truck. Where I am at, it is hard to find a 7mge. I will have the entire car as a donor. I want to keep the manual tranny from my truck. Will it bolt straight up? I have a 93 toy truck with a 22RE. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

if the cressida had a manual transmission your W56 will bolt to it's bellhousing. trannies were pretty much the same, but had a different bellhousing

 

no, the cressida has a auto tranny on it...

 

you need to find a bellhousing from a 5 speed (look for a bellhousing from a early supra)
I just picked up my 5mge for my 81 but i have the w56 trany in my truck and second gen locked rear end. so to sum it up you need 5 speed bellhousing and to drill the motor hole and wiring harness/ecu
