Sounds like a lot of work is still required keep it up!!!

How is the panhard and rear control arms going to handle all the droop and travel? 14" shocks are almost double what the stockers do. I assume that is the 4 link you are looking at???

Diff gears and front locker still to come I would assume???

I agree it looks a lot cleaner then the earlier version. The first bumpers were a little rough for my liking, sort of protoype stuff. Really like the new rear bumper, it looks pretty cool (just needs the hanger). I'm not a fan of tube front bumpers, prefer ARB/TJM like stuff, but the tube will probably be the most functional.

All in all looks real promising.

The wide stance looks very aggressive with the fenders, sort of Paris/Dakar 4R

The front bumper isn't finished yet, there will be some sheetmetal incorporated into it to blend better with the rear. Kartek made up some lower links, that'll help with droop, we'll see what we can squeeze out ot the stock suspension points first, before deciding if it needs to be cut out and replaced.

Bruce, how is your tank coming? Also from looking at the mount in the pic, how would running the 14s be different than running the 12s and just moving the bottom mount up?

Rocky I found the pics in the 03-04 4runner section, its only the control arms but I think that's lance's new bumper in the pics.

Slow progress on the tank

The difference is 2" of total travel

Lance didn't want to buy another set of shocks, if he went to a 4-link design, since it was possible to fit the 14" ones now. Until we disconnect the rear swaybar and replace the lower control arms with a set Kartek made up, I'm not sure what's gonna happen. I assume the rubber bushing joints of the other links will bind. We didn't have much time left to get his rig ready for the Expo, so I had to cut a few corners and didn't have the time to flex out the suspension properly.

Once gears and a front locker are availiable, I'm sure Lance will jump on them.

Keep up the good work, I'm sure you guys will end up with a really good setup. Would be great to see it in action, I'm sure Lance is probably ready to use his truck again

Bruce- How much clearance is there between the shock body and tire? Also, any pics of the upper mount?

About 1" of clearance, I wanted to tuck it in as close to the wheel as possible, to keep it from getting hung up on the rocks.

Attached is a picture of the mount, before checking travel. I had to make a change so the shock wouldn't hit during full droop. All made from 1/4" plate and the shock ears are 3/16" moly...
