I recently disconnected the smog crap( it wasn't working anyway) from my rebuilt 2F engine- 1978 with a federal carburator. I need some help regarding where to draw the vacuum for the vacuum advance on the distributer.

The engine is also running hot even though I have changed the thermostat, had the radiator flushed, and a new fan clutch installed- any suggestions in either of these two areas would be helpful.
