Cool This place is dead!

So AZ folks. I ran off and became a gypsy and all of a sudden nobody likes to do trails anymore?

How about a little offroading, camping, mountain biking, hiking, drinking by a fire, playing in the snow, braking expensive parts of our trucks fun?

We have to HUNT for it, but its here somewhere!!

I know up on Four Peaks there is some. There is even what I'd call "a lot" up in flagstaff. A few feet anyways!

Its no Colorado level of snow, but we get giddy like little kids when we see it!!!

Of course you go on a trip the ONE time in three weeks I actually have some work...

Let me know what you think of monument valley. Danica and I spent about 20 minutes there and had to get the heck out. Too commercial and too many tourists for us.

Being in Yuma kind of puts a damper on things, that and gas. Always up for a Sedona run (mtn. bike or offroad).

Hopefully, that will be changing at the beginning of next year.

Trying to plan a camping trip down here in Yuma.

I installed the rear disc brakes on the buggy and rebuilt the entire brake system from the booster back.

Front and rear line locks and all 4 discs, it seems to stop the 38's pretty well.

That was the last big hurdle on the buggy. It's just a really busy time of year.

It's time to get out and enjoy the desert and this great weather before its 100 degrees again! I've been operating the camera more than my truck lately though...

Anyone up for a drive on Friday?

Nice. Brakes are good. Maybe we can all find somewhere to head out in the new year. Even a night run next full moon would be cool. 111db still hasn't done trail 404 I think.

Well, I haven't been doing anything as burly as Westy has, but I've gone out a few times in my neck of the woods for some exploration/trail runs. I usually have a bunch of stockers with me, so we take things a little easy, but we've been getting out!

tacoclimber,
Where do you usually head out to? Do you post up runs usually? Nice shots.

Westy,
Thanks for working just to make me feel better.

Tim, we typically go out on one of the many trails near us in Bullhead. There's a plethora of options out here for exploration, and a handful of dedicated trails. If you're down in the area, let me know, and I'll put something together. That goes for anyone else!

Just got back from a week in Northern Nevada...... We did a snow run, and we made a run out to the Black Rock hot springs for new year's eve, that was a nice little overnighter.

Broke 100,000 miles

I finally took some body damage on the trail, but I was not driving (the little lady was).

Took a quick spin up to the Grand Canyon today for a mini adventure and to see about some permits for the future. Snapped a few pics and thought I would share.

The sun was out for a little while.

Yay! Real snow. I haven't been in any for a while.

Another when the sun was sorta out.

El Tovar still had the tree up. Too bad the lights weren't lit.

This guy literally sneered at us before he nonchalantly strolled by us.

I am betting the Mohave desert will be blooming this spring! We have good skiing, boatable creeks & rivers...

There are still a foot or so of snow everywhere in this town!
