Are there any good tire stores over in the Phoenix area that you guys recommend. I'll be over that way next Wednesday for a doctors appointment and thought about maybe getting some new tires.
The shops here in Yuma don't sell the tires that I'm looking for Toyo open County A/t's.

Discount Tire. Hands down the best place ever to do business with for tires/wheels in my opinion.

I was a loyal customer to them in Flagstaff and now up here in Washington. I wont go anywhere else.

Edit: Not sure if they have the tires ur wanting but grab some BFG's instead!!!

I have become very partial to my Advanced Goodyear tire/ repair shop at the corner of Cooper and Baseline in West Mesa. Dave Halter the manager is AWSOME and Kevin the assistant Manager is a great guy too! They have done nothing but treat me great.

Not to mention this is where I bought our Toyo Open Country A/T tires.

Discount has always treated me well for most tire purchases/installs.

For the tires you are looking for, Discount will have them and their prices are generally tough to beat. Dont forgot, you can negotiate price...many people dont.

Discount is good but if you don't have a discount in Yuma you will not be able to take advantage of their free flat repairs etc. I'm a discount guy myself, very good guys in general who work there.

I checked discount tires (online) and it doesn't show any of the discount tire dealers selling toyo tires. Either in yuma or phoenix.

Discount tire will order them for you, they have alot of locations so they can find them. I think they have a warehouse in Las Vegas so it shouldn't take too long

Discount can order just about any tires. I know they can get Swampers, Pro Comp, Maxxis...and definitely Toyo. You need to call or better yet go into the store to get cost.

Big O and Discount tire gave me about the same price on tires (both yuma and phoenix). This is what they quoted me for 265/75R16

Toyo Open County A/T: Both Quoted me at around $200 a piece

Yokohama Geolander AT-S: Big O - $169
Discount Tire - roughly $150
Yokohama Gelander AT-II: Big O - $135
Discount - Didn't ask but probable around the same

Tire Rack: $121 a per tire plus $90 for shipping but fiqured it would be close to what discount would charge me for the AT-S (quote $714).

Looked at BFG's, Terra Grapplers and Revo's and they are a little more than what I want to spend (can afford).

What other opinions to do guys have and thanks.

Check discount tire online for price, then call Big O and ask if they have that tire in stock. Then tell Big O if they can beat Discount's out the door price you'll be right down.

You're looking for stock sizes, but just for info Discount will not mount 285's on stock Toyota 7.5" rims. Big O didn't have a problem with it.

Ya, I'm not going for 285's so it shouldn't be a problem. I've found the tires online at different sites but I'm a little upprehensive about ordering tires online. Mainly, because if I didn't like them or if there was a problem. Trying to return them might be a $itch.

I'm also considering getting a few other toys installed (locker) and holding off on the tires for a month or two. They probable have about another 10,xxx miles to go.

I would purchase the best tires you can afford. For an AT, it is hard to beat the BFG AT.

If you are getting more into wheeling, the BFG A/T is a good all around tire. You will see significant performance off road if you get a more aggressive AT such as the BFG. You can have all the mods in the world, but without good tires it wont do you any good...

Buy locally for the service. Discount, Big O, Advanced...etc. Price compare as you have been and look into the warranty's too if you plan to wheel the tires.

BFG's AT were more than I wanted to spend but then again what I just paided at Discount Tire for Yokohama Geolander AT-S (265/75R16) probable wouldn't have been much difference. Could've bought them online for a cheaper but for something reason buying tires online didn't seem right. So I got raped for tires (parden the phase) .

Oh, wel it's just money (easy come easy go)
