drill press?
Anyone near me (I live in Ahwatukee) have a drill press? I need to put some straight holes in piece of 2x2 square tubing. I got the bit, just need to borrow a press from a few minutes.

I have one. Not a very impressive model from Harbor Freight. I've been able to have some good success with it though. You are welcome to come by.
I am around Thomas and Scottsdale road... if you don't locate one any closer.
Works great on 3/16" wall or less, although I was able to get two 1" holes through a piece of 1" steel... but that was an exercise in patience.

That would probably work. I work at the 143 and McDowell. Would Wednesday work for you? I could probably get off early and be there in the early afternoon. That'll give me time to get the measurement right and all.

That's what usually happens to me as well. Easier to justify a new tool for the garage.
If you watch for sales, you can get some good pricing. Although with HB, you kind of get what you pay for. In fact, I am remembering the first drill press I got from them didn''t even work out of the box. They took it back... just hated driving there again.
If you do get one of your own, pay attention to the slowest speed and distance of vertical travel. I got a cheaper bench mount version and wish it could go slower and had more range. It's amazing how fast you run out when even trying to drill the "simplest" tube.
Let me know if you decide to just borrow mine. I am free most evenings with some notice.
Assuming you are going, I'll see you at Sunflower this Saturday.
