Mike, i'd also be willing to come out and help, watch or whatever. I also have a plasma 110/220. This could be a full demo party..

Make sure you are mindful of running a welder or plasma cuter off the dryer outlet. Most dryers are set to run off a 30amp circut. Most 220v welders pull around 40-50amps. Don't know if Schaefer's plasma pull that much or not. You run a risk of starting a fire if you overload the circut. Not good at all.

BTW, I'd be happy to help also.

Game on boys

Looks like everything is lining up nicely for an 11/22 chop. I get back from DeSoto on the 8th, drop the truck to Steve the 9th or 10th. Spend a couple days at that job thing I've got, then 11/22.... chop chop. Who's in? I'll need to stock up on Brats.

Also Zuk can work on my rear diff that w/e (maybe get 'er done the same day)

Mike -

Unfortunately I will be out of town that weekend, hiking the Grand Canyon. I have been meaning to give you a call about that trip too. You will probably hear from me one of these days.

Anyway, it looks like you will have plenty of hands to help. I wish I could join...if anything changes be sure to post up and I will see if I can make it over.

I'm out that weekend also. Heading back to NE for the Thanksgiving week. Sounds like you have plenty of other helping hands to kill that IFS.

I should be able to give you a hand if I have the day off. I know my schedule about a week in advance, so I'll let you know.

So it's getting down to crunch time. Who is coming over? I need a semi-serious commitment mostly for food/soda/beer purchasing

PM me your addy. If I have time I'd like to stop by and meet some of you folks and get an idea of what you guys are doing. Planning my own SAS in the next 12 months or so.

Don't worry about counting me for Food etc. tho as I'll only be there an hour or 2 tops, just be nice to meet some of ya'll.

So far, so good

A pretty productive weekend. I got the IFS stuff dismantled on Saturday and 1 leg of the suspension stuff cut off. Got the rest of the below frame junk cut off today. A little more frame clean up and I should be able to start hanging stuff. Alas, it's back to work in the AM though.

The trouble spots were getting the Downey IFS truss off. It's was 6 kinds of jacked up. Removing the bolts on the driveshaft to pinion flange, I think they have never been touched. And finally, cutting the rear legs off the frame. They have about 8 layers of metal to get through. What a PITA!

And I'm sore all over. Not sure if I beat on the truck or vice versa. Whatever Steve charges to do this stuff, pay it. It's worth every cent.

Trying to get pregant is the fun part.
Giving birth is the hard part.

(I think in someway this relates to your current project, at least it did before I typed it out. )

Just think how much more you'll appreciate the SAS after what you are going through now.
