More pic fun.

I hooked up with these guys somehow through the net and met up with them for a couple days of road/offroad time.

Sorry, no can do. Thanks for the props everyone.

More BLKNBLU fun. Just got back from a little AZ Strip/North Rim/Southern UT and Central NV trip. Have too much to sort through but here is a teaser.

At SB Point

At Whitmore Rapids, as close as I could get. (And it made some folks nervous)

Another random shot as we drove in to Whitmore that I thought came out cool

I hooked up with SOAZtim for a short w/e run up to the rim country to get out of the heat. We also ran over to Chevelon Lake and Chevelon Crossing as I've been wanting to get out there for years and just never got it done. Sadly the crossing didn't have a drop of water, (check that, a couple skanky puddles) We had planned to camp there but decided to beat it back down to the rim so we could at least have a nice view. This morning we got up and took a route through Haigler Creek (water!), through Young and back to Phx along the backside of Roosevelt Lake. We also took a side jaunt up through the Workman Creek Recreation center to Aztec Peak and fire lookout. The views there were great but I really couldn't capture it well on film.

Starting out on the Rim Road west to east. The temps were great and recent rain had the place nice and green.

The view off the rim.

Chevelon Lake.

Haigler Creek.

The falls on Workman Creek along the road to Aztec Peak.

The view in one direction from the peak.

Along the road to the peak.

Are you still satisfied with the single 4.7 case?

Yes and no. It works well for crawling but it can be a PITA finding the right gear for trailing that is too much for high and too little for low. I will do duals when $$ allows. If you are formulating a build plan I would try to add duals right off the bat if at all possible so you don't have to re-work the driveshafts twice.
