Uwharrie This Weekend
Hey I know its short notice but I found some guys with FJ40's going to Uwharrie this weekend.
I think 3 or 4 of them meeting at the outpost at 9am on sat.
I am trying to get my front drive axle in so i can go (waitin on the seal should be here today) Jon got his starter in last night and i dont wanna ride with him. Hes says to take the FJ but I dont wanna die this weekend.
I'm sure they wouldnt mind anybody tagging along
Try and make it!!

New guy sayin hey
Hey all, Sportjr, or Chris, either way. Just wanted to say hey, I live in the Raleigh area. Got a 91 runner sr5, with a few mods.
I went to Uwarrie this last weekend, never saw the Fj's. Talked to some guys outh there with runners. They were at Eldorado fixing a Radiator one one of em. Hey guys if you are on here too.
I was the guy with the L.O.S.T. ones. (liberty owners special team) or something like that. They Yota with all the Nice New Jeep libertys.
Well any way wanted to say hey, Hope to meet up with some of you guys in the future on the trail. Oh yeah, Corey asked me about the Bud Built Crossmember I ordered. Highly recomended. Took no time to install, Gained about 2.5 inches clear at the crossmember, and There is NO WAY this will bend or shift if you did hit it with a high rock in the trail. 3/8's plate is funny like that. If curious, let me know. I hate to just add a site, It may not be allowed on here. Not sure.
Later all

evil -- jon's fan blades hit the radiator he was going too fast thru a mud hole -- i have a partial tear of my acl & lcl, also bruised patella?? tenden and meniscus?? disc -- happened about 1 1/2 months ago -- thats why i was limpin on the last trip -- wrecked on the wakeboard but get my brace next tuesday -- so they say and then i can ride again but its gettin really cold fast.

Jeez, that must have been a PITA!! How did you fix it on the trail?? I'm on my second but luckily mine had mud in there and somehow it held it til I sprayed it off when I put the TJM on and I was at my dads so he had all his tools right there. More importantly his car to go get another radiator at advanced, but I think auto zone was a bit cheaper and could get it quicker. It was nice not having the TJM on yet, Its a pain getting to the engine now b/c of the hoops. Oh well. Anyway, glad to hear you still had fun despite the setbacks. You better be careful on that wakeboard, my friend tore his ACL and still won't get back on his, he just skis now.

the first trick i am trying is a 540 -- the same i tore it on.
okay i will probally NOT try that until next season -- give the knee a little rest
austin -- we got some radiator puddy crap stuff -- you know that stuff you put on that one thing to get that big thing to stop doing that thing -- you know
actually they have a 24hr wally world about 20 min from the trails
we got some radiator puddy and filled in the hole. the next day we used atleast 4 more puddy sticks and 4 or 5 bottles of stopleak. -- you can see the puddy on both sides in the pic.
when it cut off we were on rocky mtn loop -- you know where you hit the tree coming out that big mud hole, about 10 min past when it started overheating -- didnt leak cause there was nothing to leak out. jon (just to let you know he really isnt very smart) put his truck in neutral while motor off (no power brakes) and coasted down the trail -- he was going like 20mph. then we stopped at a creek and filled up a jug and put in the radiator -- coolin that bitch down, then he drove until it cut off again (like i said not very smart) then used the rest of the collected h2o and did the whole process over again. when we got off the trails i towed (the 2nd truck that night - 1st being a jeep on 35's) it back to the camp site, then off to wally world - its about 2am at this point. we wake up drive to the outpost at 9am and start taking the bitch apart.
we called every uhaul and sort in a hour direction -- no luck -- couldnt find anybody that sold a towbar (we were gonna weld it to the front of jons tjm) only trailer we found they wanted $1600 for it. finially got it to hold with pressure and rolled out. -- we did stop work often to take the 2nd gen out for some fun

Figured that was one of ya
Didnt think there were to many peeps fixin radiator holes on four runners in NC on that paticular day.
Talked to my liberty buddy today, He said one of the guys,(the 2004 black liberty renegade, stock mind you) was complaining on their site on how the leader saturday (my buddy) should have know better to go on those trails, and should be more careful so there is less damage on the other jeeps. Yeah, he forced him to follow at gun point with 7 rigs in between them to drive his stock rig over rocks and branches to scratch it up and dent the crap out of his factory nerf bars. Just got a kick out of that, thought I would share.
Anyone been down to Havlock to their trails? Havent ever heard much about it or even where it is. Or how about the RTP loop for those of us around the triangle? Just curious, U-harry is such a long dam drive, lol.
