SAS Project

ok here is the status...... nvrsastk (chris) came down today and did alittle welding on my truck today should be on the road early next week (like tuesday)

this is the current state of my project and a pic of my rebuilt axle

Man, I can't wait to see everyone's truck after a year. They are all going to be so different! Make sure you take pics like it seems like your doing so you can do a writeup!! The red is looking hot too. How much lift are you going to be running when its all said and done with?

im stuck until i can get somebody to come and weld for me them mobile welders want to much $$, hopefully a friend can come late tomorrow night and finish it up

everthing else is done

Sweet, way to go Matt. You gota post some pics as soon as your done, that is gona be one hot rig when she's back up in the air. I'll be gett'n my new 85' soon, Jeremy will be SAS'd sometime soon, your done, and maybe Jason will get around to his 96' SAS, we will be some mean look'n dudes roll'n in to whatever park we decide to tackle. 4ROC Rocks

Can you get away this weekend? I'm thinking of going to the mtn house Saturday and Sunday.... Anyone else want to come? Let me know soon so I can make arrangments... I know it short notice but the people going up this weekend changed there minds.

i'm 45.5" in the front and 37.5" in the rear to the ground from top of wheel well........hope it sages some

total of 12" over stock some how in the front and 4" in the rear, i cant even open the hood w/o standing on somthin

i now need a matchin rear and some $$ to buy it!!

if they were brand new leaf springs they will settle in over time. if its that much of a difference i guess you need some more weight up front, like a wintch

i dont like "sky'd" trucks personally. i want as small a lift as possible and not rub whatever tires i end up with (looking at a set of 35s if i can get a buyer for my 33s)

Matt was running 34s with the exact same setup as you, except for the body lift and lockers....IMO you should stay with your current setup. It was suppose to be 1.5" taller then what he had before. It'd pretty damn big so I would think twice before putting all that time in...

you definetly need either flatter leaf springs or alot more rear end work. that looks ˟˟˟˟ed up talk about some butt sag
