Rear springs, just curious

I recently changes out the old rear coils in my 91 runner w/ the ome hd coils. Everything went fine except the spring compressor I got from auto zone broke as I was sliding one of them in. (thank god it snapped in to place and not in to me, Use the strut compressors, much easier to get off to)
But anyway, what did YOU do with the old coils? I know trash is probly a popular answer, but anything creative, or usefull done with them? I was thinking of making some of those things you see on the playground for my kids. You know the little elephant, or horse on the spring the kids bounce on.

Lemme know, just curious!!!
