Website is updated...

Added a new member, dealer review, updated other 4Roc site links, and jazzed a few details up. Included links for people to submit their own reviews and posted my purchase of a bunch of lock for the 1st gens... Check it out

www.va4roc.com

Also, It would be really cool if some volunteers could jump in to collect and submit links for each generation truck in the links page, only need a few in each and maybe you guys can help me with the non-1st gen stuff...

Get out in this great weather!

Hey all,

I got va4roc.com for one year instead of the intended two, so va4roc.com is no longer pointing to the true location, va4roc.cylonics.com

I'm going to investigate getting the domain again but if anyone wants to take over the site now would be the time...

in the meantime you can get the same access at va4roc.cylonics.com

It's back. I'm abusing the registration expiry grace period, if anyone feel ready to handle the domain name speak now or hold your piece (peace?) for a year...

Dan,
what's the process involved in handling the domain name? Thanks.

It's actually just legal ownership of the domain name, I could renew it and simply transfer it to someone easily. The hosting/building/updating is not at a beginner level, so some experience is required. I just want to manage the 1st gen section in my spare time and will leave the layout, navigation, color scheme, theme etc to the new webmaster.

I actually do have time to do all this just now, but I feel I need to focus my energy on other IT specialties. I do enjoy keeping the site but I have to wean myself from a few things that are a distraction from my professional life, and the website is one of them.

It looks like H and I are determined to move to Seattle so I may not be eligible for membership next year anyway...

Nice work Dan.

When the weather turns warm, maybe spring time, we'll need to have a Meet & Greet. There are alot of new names on VA4Roc since we first set it up. A chance to but names and faces together, get some dinner and a few beers.

Supposed to get warmer again this coming weekend, I'm up for a short meet. Doesn't have to be for work. Have been busy studying for certifications, wedding and work. Had to eliminate some non critical tasks, including creating new projects for the truck, at least until I finish the few I have already!
