Virginia Fall Colors Ride

Anyone interested in doing one? I was thinking we could do either the 4x4 trail at Reddish Knob or the Edinburg trail Runnerboy97 and I tried to do this summer. Both are "day trippable".

yeah, seen how i'm down in blacksburg at school now, harrisonburg would be way better, cause its closer. If we did it, i could easily get some people from school to come up. Oh and just so you all know, i met 44runner down here, and all i have to say is damn. that SAS 3rd gen has to be the coolest thing i have ever seen. Hes gonna go and show me all the good trails around here. i cant wait for some southern VA wheelin.

Let us know what you find. I have family in Roanoke and usually get out there about once a month. I know there are dirt National Forest roads along Rt311 between Salem and New Castle. There might be some good trails off of them.

Will do. BTW, you need to check out The Homeplace in Catawba. It's a family style restaurant. They bring the food to your table in bowls and you server yourself from the bowls. Very good stuff if you like things like ham, fried chicken, roast beef, green beans with ham, mashed potatoes with gravy, pinto beans, corn, etc. :pig:

I still want to do this, but have managed to exponentially occupy myself. For reference, does anyone know when peak leafage will be on Skyline drive?
