DC Metro Area Trails
I found this webpage while surfing around the other day, DC Metro Area Trails.
The Maryland Mudhunters have a similar listing of local trails, including trails outside of Maryland.

Ya know, I remember finding that a long time ago and then could not remember where the hell it was.
I'm up for any trail runs. I think the issue with VA just now is momentum. You guys have all been busy procreating and I have been busy with all kinds of stuff, but should have some free time from now on.
I can't do any serious offroading until I get this diff problem fixed, which is indefitinite for now, but I can probably make trips with some notice, though am always happy to get a call at the last minute.
Was almost going to go to Crazy Ray's today, just to get out of town, but have an ebay ending and the usual tedium to get through at home.

on that list of dc area trail you posted, i would like to point out theleesburg trail . DO NOT GO THERE!! i tried those trails once and got caught by Fairfax county police. All the trails are on county property. WEll i actaully didnt get a ticket because i ended up saving their butts, but thats a different story. I was just warning anyone that was thinking about it. Cause i know i like it when people stop me from going anywhere illegal.

I think it would be good to do a day trip to the Edinburg trail that John and I wanted to do this summer. It might be a good "fall colors" type of ride. There's also some "fireroads" on the other side of Paddy Mountain (the mountain opposite of North Mtn on the Va side where John and I went when Edinburg was closed). If I can remember how to get to them, they might be worth a looksee.

If you guys are going to hit any of these trails that are fine for a stock truck I would be up for it. My crazy summer is about to come to a close and I might actually have some free time.
Just to add to the list, you can drive on the beach North of Corrolla, NC all year round. It goes about 9+ miles up the VA border. I will post a pic later and show you the fence that goes into the ocean that divides the VA/NC border. There are some dunes and trails off the beach but most go to hidden beach homes.
I'm heading that way next week and will probably be out on the beach a few times

hey guys-
I'm moving back to Maryland in a month or so. I didn't see a Md 4ROC, do they just join up with you guys?
Hopefully when I get there we can hit some trails or something.
You guys seem prety active, we have the Indiana 4ROC, buts its only like three of us.

SO far there's no MD4ROC, but you're welcome to hang with us. That reminds me, I had considered suggesting a capital area 4roc, since MD, DC and VA overlap so much politically and culturally. I had previously started a few posts on other boards entitled, "DC/Capitol area".

I like the idea of a "Capitol Area 4ROC." Something like what the Capital Off Road Enthusiasts have done in the DC metro area.
