Sounds good to me, i would hate to get there and couple people not be comfortable and not have a back up plan, i don't think my front and back bumper is going to be finished by then, so i don't want to get into anything were I'm going to get stuck, its a little hard to find points to attach straps without tow points, I'm used to quads and i just recently got into 4x4 with a rig and have only done it a hand full of times so I'm still fairly new to it but I'm all for checking it out, I will be bringing a good camera planning to take alot of pictures and possible some videos

Is that your rig in the picture??? if so i dont think you'll have a problem lol mine is bone stock, although i've been out a few times and have done ok. if anything i've just left with a little bit of body damage. the key thing is having a good spotter

Guys-
Check out this video on youtube of one of the trails that I THINK we will be testing out. Although im not sure if thats the exact trail we'll be testing. Im gonna call the DNR and see if they build the trails wide enough to have a "stock" section

You didn't put any links. One of these videos?

Yeah, looks like some of that stuff may be beyond some of our rigs capabilities. I know mine isn't really much of a rock crawler. Anybody got a solid front axle they want to give me?

I'd still be down to check it out and if it's out of our league we could just hit up Cherry Valley Road.

Yes lol my bad its the one with the green jeep

There is a facebook invite on facebook for the test run. I asked if a stock rig with 33X13.50's and a bobbed bed would be fine and he said i would be fine. said there are turnouts in the trail and plenty of people willing to spot and yank if need be. the biggest thing is that we get as many people out there as possible so that DNR see's that there are plenty of wheelers out there using the trails they're spending so much money to make. this really is important for Washington and i hope tons of people come out

Well if we can bypass the bigger stuff then I think we'll be fine. I agree it's very important to get as many people out as possible so they see their funding is going to be put to use. I'll even tell my friend who drives a Jeep. Partly in hopes that he breaks something and we can all laugh at him . But yeah, I'm stoked, can't wait to check it out.

Thanks Cameoman... There's never enough time to be in the Mountains... It's always better with more folks... and Toyotas.

Wow, I was sleeping at the wheel here, forgot about this thread. I guess I need to subscribe!

I went out to Reiter last month and was very disappointed. We got through the ~1000 ft of trail in about 45 min. There were about 3-4 pretty difficult spots for me to get through on the trail and I only needed a tug through 1 of them. My truck ('86 single cab shortbed) was on 33's, open-open with minimal lift (but it does flex pretty well). I used the driver side slider once and kissed (barely) the pass side rear quarter panel, but that's only cuz I have no rear bumper.

If your rig is totally stock, you will have trouble getting through most of the obstacles and may incur some body damage. If your rig is built what-so-ever (33's or bigger and a rear locker) you will walk the entire trail in a few minutes.

I know there are a lot of people working very hard on this trail and getting the area opened back up and I don't want to bash them, but I just wanted to share my experience with you guys. If you guys choose to go out to Reiter, have fun! I'll catch up with you on the next trip.
