Sacramento area Wheelers...???

Greetings I am moving to the Sacramento area due to work. Wondering what the off-road scene is like and where people to get the truck fixed.

I have sen Mudrak and a few others but most are 1+ hour away. Not feasible asIi only have one vehicle. I can wrench but I will be in Temp Housing and most dont allow any mechanical work.

Is there a Norcal specific forum, other than this one. In Colorado we have a bunch of Co specific sites

thanks

Im in the lincoln area. For fab work and axle builds like gears there are a few good places around here. WFO in auburn and get bent fab works in looms . For wheeling parts try ordering stuff from davez off road in Placerville. For frame and alinement try clark frame in Roseville. And for general truck maintenance and stuff try Applegate garage in Applegate . These places might be more of a drive for you but are very good . Lots of 4wheeling clubs in sacramento area. Rubicon 2.5 hours away and fordyce about 1.5 or so. Lots of good wheeling in the sierras above fresno . Also the dusy trail is great trail but very long plan 4 days to enjoy.

not quite as many places to wheel out here like you have in CO, but we do have a decent amount of trails outside of the populated areas. Rubicon and Fordyce are just the better-known trails in the area. Since there is good wheeling around, there are a good amount of fab shops and more well-known fabricators with online shops (ex: Davez, Ruff Stuff, etc)
