im thinking next saturday we should all meet up at in and out in pleasanton. Its right off the freeway, and it would be a great way to get people involved in out community that dont normally come to these boards. i know i have some friends that dont cruise the boards but would love to get involved. So that would be the First of Novemeber.

My club is doing their bi-annual adopt-a-trail cleanup in the sierras on the 1st of Nov. After the cleanup we usually run another trail like slickrock. You guys are welcome to come and help out, it's pretty much picking up trash, closing off illegal spurs and other trail maintenance. The trail itself, Sourgrass, is pretty easy, a stock truck should be able to make it easily. This is only a day trip, leaving in the early morning and getting back at night.

You can get more info here: www.gettinoff4x4.com.

Bythebay, you're welcome to ride along with me if you'd like.

How come? Your truck's not up here charles?

So we have to meet up with the club at the arco station in Tracy at 7:30 am on Sat. You guys can meet up at my place at San Ramon, or at atarinaper's place in pleasanton if he's going (pleasanton is a little more on the way). It'll take about 45 minutes to get to tracy from my place so why don't you guys stop by at 6:45am. I'll PM my address and phone number later in the week.

Steve

yeah, it's at home in so cal. i'm only without for a few months, i can live with that. parking and traffic in SF suck, so i didn't want to deal with that. plus it's nice giving the runner a rest, saving on gas, and the public transit up here is so easy and convenient.

will you be passing by any BART stops on the way, or atarinaper, is there one near you? i'm not sure i could get a ride out there, so that's why i'm asking.

Don't forget to bring lunch, drinks, and a camera. I'll supply the trashbags. Work gloves would be good too. It's supposed to get cold this weekend so bring some warm clothes. Always prepare for rain in the mountains. We will likely get back late, it takes about 3 hours to get up there. Last year I think I got back to San Ramon at about 10pm.
