What I wanna know is why we never go out on a Saturday? I can't make it on Sundays because of church.

Instead of beating an old horse to death (or how does the saying go??), let's beat it to live.

I vote for Hollister in Feb, so we can get some good mud.
Then Death Valley in March. (I'm going even if I have to on my own, dammit, ast least I wont try th summer months Scott )

Who is interested?

I'd be down with Hollister, no biggie. How about you start a new thread in the trip planning section?

Weren't you supposed to plan the next trip anyhow?

Either way, it would be really cool to finally put some faces to these screen names! I met Scott briefly..back when my 4Runner was 90% Stocko.

I'm sure if I were heading that direction, I could stop by Napa and pick ya up if we got something together and you wanted to ride.

How does 12 Feb sound for Hollister, will give ample time to plan and for those who need to fix something? If you guys say yes, I'll post in trip planning section.

It's on my calendar but I'm not sure if I will be able to make it. I might be home in Walnut Creek for my birthday celebrating the bigger Two-One. I'll let you guys know.

I'll look into the 5th then as well, it seems there will be a HHORA clean up drive. It should be fine though.

SO you guys want to do the 5th instead?

I'm iffy on Hollister; I'll make it if I can.

But on death valley, how many are interested, and how long a trip? It'll be more than a weekend for me (8-9 hour drive).

Also, how much/what level of wheeling would be people be interested in?
(i/e the racetrack and titus canyon are fabulous "stocker" trails, but some
of the mining towns have more technical routes)

Would people also be interested in doing some hiking, sightseeing, playing in the dunes (not driving, sorry), etc?

Best weekends to work around are 3/19 or 3/26 for me.

Edit: Just found this source for road conditions. A LOT of the park is closed right now. I'll do some more research to see what is likely to change in the next two months.

Jealousy is an ugly thing, speciallly when she drives a runner...

ACH! Time OFF?! I am GREEN with envy -- still looking for the job that pays me to play in my truck...not this weekend however. lucky skunks...have a BLAST, whatever it is "yous youts" wind up doing.

If lucky, i get up to Horse mountain Sunday to go snowshoing with my roomie (my idea of sunday worship) Although the bummer is i probably won't even NEED to use the 4x4 to get up there (no new snow this week) and there are no places to truck play (unless anyone knows of anything they wanna tell me about)

I'm down for driving south in March though -- I think Scot mentioned that might be in the works (?)...keep me posted.
