After a smog/emissions delete, a lot of the original vacuum routing diagrams stop making sense, so the key is simplifying everything to what the engine actually needs to run properly.

For a distributor setup, you usually only need one correct vacuum advance source. That should be a ported vacuum line from the throttle body or carb, not full manifold vacuum, unless your setup specifically calls for it. Everything else that used to go to EGR, charcoal canister, or emissions solenoids is typically removed or capped.

For a high cold start idle, most systems originally used a thermo-vacuum valve or idle-up VSV. After deletes, people often just rely on a properly set base idle screw or keep a simple vacuum idle-up line if the hardware is still there.

The important part is making sure you don’t have any vacuum leaks. Every unused port must be capped, otherwise you’ll get https://roobetcom.pro/ rough idle, high cold start issues, or timing problems.
