Hey guys I'm new too the site so bare with me. I recently got a 1981 toyota tacoma 4x4 straight axle and absolutely love it. I'e had no problems out of the truck but today I go to crank it up and all the gauges come on and when I hit the key click nothing all gauges go off I can turn the key half way on and my phone charger comes on but then the gauges won' come back on untill I get out and wiggle the battery cables again and over and over the same thing please someone tell me you've had this problem before only way I can crank it is rolling it off any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!!

 

You already answered your own question. Your cables are shot. replace em. Also you dont have a tacoma
