I'm sure he's not a bad guy, but I tried to order some rock slider braces and gussets from him and he wanted to charge me shipping not only for my order, but for him to restock his supply as well...$18.50 and I live less than 2 hrs. away. Got them from another TG vendor in Alabama where shipping was only $10.
Not hatin'- just sharing my experience.

it would be smart if you would have read the email i sent you. if i was just shipping to you it would have been cheaper but i had to get my stock back so i was charging you the shipping it would be from TG to you. NOT BOTH! you must learn to read before you jump to conclusions. and if i was shipping direct to you it would have been $4.10 and you would have had in 2 days. so $10 was still way too high in my book.

I have had parts including a SAS kit, and gears, and install of the gears done by John. If anything John has taken care of me. I would go against anyone that says anything bad about him. He has answered any questions that I have had. Great guy, and easy to deal with. Thank You John for all of your help. Rob

Never once said anything about shipping being $4.10. If you had, I would've been more than happy to order from you.

However, you did tell me that it would be $18.50 and when I asked why shipping was inflated you said ""they are
not inflated by any means at all. i have enough here to send you some asap.
but i will have to reorder to replenish my stock and it will cost me 18.50 to get mine back." You even said that above so I don't see how you're defending yourself here...you were trying to charge me an inflated price no mater how you look at it.
Perhaps there was some sort of misunderstanding, but no other price was given except $18.50- not $10, $4.10, $20, or even free. It was $18.50. The above is a direct quote of the PM that was last sent to me because I told you that "if I am going to have to pay $42.50 for the product then I could most likely build them myself and you replied that there's no way because you've tried. That I do believe after getting the order.

And yes, $10 shipping may have been a little high seeing as directly from TG it's only $11.65.

Anyways, enough of this. Like I stated before- I'm not here to bash you or your business- I merely noticed that you are trying to say that I am lying and I have absolutely no reason to do so.
Quite the contrary really- you're the closest TG dealer to me and I was looking forward to building a strong customer-dealer relationship. Heck-I was checking your website every other day to see how its construction was coming along!

You obviously have many satisfied customers which does lead me to believe that there may have been a miscommunication.

 

I called Jon on Sunday, 2/25/07. I wasn't expecting an answer of the phone, just to leave a message and get a call in a couple days. Well, I left a message. Jon called me back in a matter of 15 minutes. Within another 20 minutes, I had completed my order (at a very good price) & purchase with him. He mentioned he would send the items UPS. I figured that I would get them in like a week. Much to my suprise, I had the items in my hands Wednesday afternoon!! I was floored! Considering that they came from Jon to TG then to my door in a matter of 3 business days was impressive!!

I *NEVER* had such a simple, pleasurable experience buying parts for my truck! I plan on doing more business with Jon in the future and I highly recommend you consider your next TG purchase from him!

After all was said and done I would definately rate Jon (Insane04) a 15 out of 10!!

you know sometimes when you type something the message kinda just gets messed up.... it's something when you can talk face to face

 

where did you come from cause the shipping issue was with rusty davis and if it had been for you in cali i would have shipped direct from TG to you and it would have been lots cheaper. like i said i was eating the amount to ship to you. and you were just paying as i was ordering them for me. yes i do have lots of well satisfied customers cause i will give the lowest prices at almost all costs and if there does become a problem i will rectify the situation ASAP.

I agree...I didn't mean for this to become "the" topic of discussion in your rating thread. In fact, I still wanna talk to you first when it comes to getting TG parts. Perhaps this time I should call if I don't get something. That is- if we can put this behind us and start from scratch

IMHO - Can there be a seperation of threads? One thread that is a Dispute/Issues thread and then a thread that only deals with feedback and nothing else?
I am sure that new customers who wish to research a reseller wants to just focus on the feedback about that seller and if a thread becomes congested with disputes that should be just feedback, it in turn will either discourage the prepective customer from doing business with that specific seller or convilute the feedback thread to where someone is searching through potentially 10 pages of feedback PLUS disputes just to see 1 1/2 pages of feedback.
