Hmmmm kind of thought there'd be a few responses to the above....

We must be doing a pretty good job on the shoot-out if no one has ideas how to make it better.

I am liking the wider coverage Tim which now includes rigs setup for expedition/back country camping.

The coverage on the 4Runner with the off road trailer at Tahuya was good, just read it before bed last night.

You are doing a good job. The only thing I thought would have been good to see in there is a third rig with stock IFS. I know that this has eveything to do with availablity, etc. I would have been great too see how much of a difference the blazeland setup and SA make compared to a similar stock setup.

How about a write up on serviceability of each system? Teardown, replacing parts etc.

Stock set-up was tested last fall, well stock short arm with a 4" bracket lift that is; it performed decent against the SA'd rig.

As far as how well a stocker would do against the SA and IFS 'Runners built up with 35s, Air Lockers, doublers etc....not very well. Stock IFS has about 7"s of travel and we were often carrying a tire for the first year wheeling. The Long Travel IFS is such a huge difference with 11"s+ of travel, we rarely lift a tire now unless it is climbing big rocks.

We did a front end rebuild/Longfield install on the SA rig right before the last grudge match, that article is coming up next issue. We also have the RCV IFS CV upgrade coming up, maybe we could do them 1-2 in the next issue to show the differences between the two set-ups.

Thanks for the info, I'm late to the game with a new subscription so I missed the last 4 years. Keep up the good work.

Jim @ Inchworm Gear turned me on to the mag about a year and a half ago. He use to give me a copy each time i went in and bought parts until I decided to get a script. I wish it would become monthly soon! It sucks having to wait so long for the next issue!
