Will an '88 lift fit an '89?

Hey everyone, Im new to this sight so sorry if I didnt post this in the right place. I've got a question. My buddy just got an '89 toyota pickup and I was just wondering what all years of lifts will fit it. My cousin has a 4 inch lift from an '88 toyota pickup and we dont know if it will fit the '89 or not. Thanks for any help.

What exactly does the lift include? If rear springs, then you may find the rear springs do not fit since the '89 pickup rear springs are longer than on the '88:

IFS (front) parts would fit '86-'95, rear springs would fit '86-'88 unless the rear is just a block or add a leaf then it may fit the same as the front.

That should work fine then. Only thing to watch for the the u-bolts (if they are the factory style square ones). Some of the 3rd gen pickups had those uber wide spring perches to fit the the rubber lined steel boot around the springs and those had extra wide u-bolts.
