Why Not Longer/Stiffer Springs?

Why Not Longer/Stiffer Springs?
For a 4th Gen 4Runner, why are there only spacers for the rear springs and not longer/stiffer replacement springs? Is this just something they haven't got to yet?
Now that I am starting over with a lift and debating on what to use, I am just wondering about other options.

I believe downy makes a lift that replaces the rear springs with longer ones, 2.5" lift I think, and the front coilovers are replaced too. As long as you don't have the XREAS setup then you can get this lift. Downey has been around for a long time so I'm pretty sure they make some solid stuff.

Yep, they have not gotten round to it yet. I have been holding my breath for OME stuff, but I'm already blue in the face.
I'm too lazy to take of the springs now to get the all the measurements, but I'm sure there will be some aftermarket ones out there, maybe in the Toyota stable as well. I know people got Tundra coils on the front on the previous gen (maybe stilll works with ours).
It will however take some experiementing to get the right balance with different springs in. Sapcers are easier cause you stay closer to the stock ratings, so ride, etc is not normally afected too much, unless you go nuts with preload, etc. Remember Toyota obviosly did some homework and decided on some compromises in handling and comfort with the current coils, it is up to us to expirement what might work better for our needs.
