What Diff would be best?

I'm planning on throwin an Aussie Locker in the rear of my Yota but I'm not quite sure what to put in the front diff...I was thinkin just a LSD would work but is it really worth the time and the money...considering the the front is open already? If a LSD would be a good investment what brand would be pretty bulletproof and decently priced?

Thanks

If you're going the autolocker route, i'd just put those front and rear.

If it were me i would go for a more true lock (selectable, spool or welded)

All depends on what you are wanting to do. A true locker (Aussie, Lock Right, etc) will give you more traction. However, a lot of people don't like how they perform on icy roads. Plus, some say that a front locker makes the IFS components vulnerable to breakage, although this is disputed by some.

A LSD would perform fine in conditions like snow, ice, and mud, where both tires are touching the ground. But they become relatively useless once you lift a tire off the ground, such as is common in rock crawling.

If you have the money, the best would be to get an ARB.

There's a ton of information already posted on this topic. Spend a bit of time browsing already posted threads. Welcome to yotatech by the way!

LSD is for Hippies. You will be very disapointed, watching everyone else hit the hard stuff. If you go LSD learn how to drive it. Some times you need to hit the brakes a little to get them to catch. I ran a Tru-Trac for years, until I realized they suck.
