I actually dont think the visor looks THAT bad, it just complements the time period that the truck came from. Definately loose the body lift though, or at least reduce it down to like 1" or so. its not like you really need that much lift just to clear 33's anyway.

dude that is a sweet looking truck, i've been thinking about getting a roll bar for the back of my truck for a while but if i did i would have to get rid of my tauno cover and it's nice in the winter for hauling stuff

^Thanks bro! Just started some body work today on the bed. Than shes geting painted Silver. I like the rolbar..but I want a bed cover. I think im gonna custom make something....Just dont know what to make it out of or how to make it yet...I'll PM you if I ever figure that out!
#27
haha thanks for the comments! Once I get th ebody work done, shes going into the garage and getting painted. I havent painted in 2 years since school...but im gonna use the DUPLICOLOR paintshop laqcuer system. I think just plain old silver, and may do the center of the hood black. Have plans on herculinging the bed aswell, around the same time I do the interior.

I was about to say the same but im thinking it needs the body lift to clear the Buick motor.

Do you have any idea what gas mileage you're getting? My father in law has owned few buicks and oldsmobiles with the 3.8 and they always get better gas mileage than I would expect.
Have fun with the truck!

thats a really nice truck. whatd u pay for that bad boy? id lose the visor for only one reason: if the wind blows it off, your gonna have a really ugly roof that will rust. what gauges are mounted to the dash? tach, oil, volt, and ? good luck!
#35
I ddint pay anything for it..I traded a bone stock Jeep Cherokee with 190K Miles.
The gauges on the dash are
Tach,Oil Pressure,Water temp,Vacum/boost.
They are autometers, but they look pretty old. the are real dim at night. i think im gonna try to get some new gauges, same ones..just replace these with newer/brighter ones.
This weekend I bolted my highlift to th einside of the tailgate..I like it there. I also installed a stereo and new battery. Hoping to get my 36 inch Mts this week. They will look a TON better.

yeah it will. MTs look awesome. i just dont like them on the street cuz they wear a lot faster than most tires. just keep up on the rotations and you'll be fine with them. good luck with that truck. happy wheelin!
#37
yea no doubt^ Im used to running BIAS PLY LTBs on my Wrangler. So i know all about rotation and air pressure. The tires im getting this week are WildCountry RVTs. They are only like 60% tread, but i got 4 of them mounted on wheels for $125! My truck is gonna be PRETTY big. 7 inches of lift and 36s. I also have some old bushwacker flares im going to install, to cover the 14.5 inch wide tires
Should look sick when its all done.

Nah its IFS....the tires are pretty bald(about 55%)...I have new Cvs upfront, lockout hubs and rarley do I use 4wd. Dont get me wrong, I wheel the balls off the truck but I always use 2wd first haha. I figure if I break a CV, i'l unlokc the hubs and drive home. A SAS is in the works though
