U-Bolt issue

Aloha

I am installing a Trail-Gear front U-bolt flip all went well until I installed the U-bolt next to the third member and noticed a 1/4" gap between the housing and the U-bolt. Is this normal

Welcome!

I'm assuming this is a minitruck/4Runner axle. Which part of the housing is 1/4" away from the ubolt?

Pictures would be great.

you mean in front or back of the housing? that shouldnt be a problem theres a centering pin to keep the axle in place. now if the gap is on the bottom youve got a problem.
