Trying to decide on what springs to go with

Hey guys, I've been throwing a lot of money and time into my 4runner and now i have to tackle springs. The guy that i got the truck from after he did the swap (solid axle, 88 mustang 5.0 35's) he definetly trail "tested" it and the rear springs are toast. Just got done painting it and doing running gear now i want it to stop sagging to the drivers side 3" lol. Have trail gear 5" i believe wondering if i should replace those and do the 63" swap. I'd spend about the same cause with the 63" swap i'd spend just as much. Thanks.

I'm running the chev 63's and i love them but i dont know how the flex compares to the TG springs. I would do the 63's cause they can carry weight and they are still flexy.. oh yeah you can do it for like 40 bucks as well thats a plus

We did 63" chevies on Molly's rig and ... well ... meh. Nothing to get excited about. TrailGear, Marlin, etc are "one-size-fits-all" springs - nothing really wrong with them, but it sounds like you don't have a "one size fits all" rig.

Check out Alcan springs - give them the specific info about your truck and how you use it, and they will make a custom spring pack for you for not much more than the mass-market springs.

What tc said.

If you are putting some money in the truck the suspension is not where you want to skimp, and 63" chevies are skimping it. I understand they are an ok spring, but they are TOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO long. If you really want great leafs start looking at alcan and deaver, but if you want to buy springs from the "normal" type places. I suggest Marlins, their springs are made by Betts, rather than a chinese spring like trailgear. I believe Marlin is the only one using betts for their springs.

I heard Allpoo is using them too now, but all I can go on is my bad experience with Allpro springs.

I have a question my temp gauge reads in the middle when i start it. Can i put a aftermarket one in or replace the sensor or is it the gauge itself. Its not running hot at all. Its a 3.0 that has been rebuilt. I read some where in here that yotas gauges suck.
