I am a little lost can you run the chaosfab coilover conversion with torsion bars? I could not tell if this is what you were speaking about in your last response? please elaberate on you front suspension I am new to this and have been trying to find other options than a sas. I currently am running a 4" BDS and was curious if I could use that lift with the chaosfab control arms.

Mixing the chaos arms with a bracket kit like what you have is an extremely bad idea. Even worse if you plan to actually use it. You are creating so much levearge on your frame and bracketry. Things will bend, alignments will be often and never within spec.
He was trying to point out that torsions don't put stress on the front of the frame like coilovers. But, if hooped and caged properly, I don't see how coilovers would be an issue.
Both coilovers or torsions would have issues, but torsions have more obvious issues to me.
For one, the spring rate is exponential. As the suspension compresses, the spring gets harder to twist. A coil is relatively even through it's whole compression cycle.
Torsion sockets have been known to break, and the torsion adjustment bolts have broken before. I recall seeing one shoot through the floor board and bang the driver in the arse. Huge welt. hahahaha
Also, I believe the torsion that he has are 26mm downey torsions.

Hey compass you might talk to "baja" Mike, he is still at Kartek. He only left for four months but has been there for a long time. He knows his stuff. I run Donahoes on the front of my 4runner and my Tacoma. On the back of my 4runner I have Bilstien 5150 and the back of the Tacoma I just put 2 1/2" Kings with remotes. The Kings are awesome. We also run them on our desert trucks.
