I have just finished installing my OME setup 880s on the front, 890s on the back...and of course the front is sitting about 2 inches lower. (1996 4runner Limited)

Has everyone had to use spacers with the front coils? I've done searches and it seems like some people have had better luck then others. I was told by OME not use spacers with their stuff to do the coil spring rate.

It's a bit frustrating. You would think that they would make their own spacer that would level out the front end. The trim paks do nothing for lift. So...you have to rely on other vendors..

Any comments or suggestion would be appreciated.

It is strange that some people's vehicles level while others don't. You have to remember that this kit wasn't originally designed for the 4runner so that is part of the reason it has its quirks. As you mentioned, trim packers do little for lift and adding a spacer under the top plate will give a horrible ride. This is why OME does not recommend spacers because it additionally compresses the spring. That said, adding a spacer on top of the top plate such as the one Bamachem makes, will give the desired lift to level it, without significantly changing the ride characteristics.

Although I haven't bought them from Andy yet, I intend to buy 1" (two spacers) worrth to level my runner. You will also need longer studs from Revtek or another vender such as Wheeler's. I think I pm'd you this same info but I will put it here too so other's can read. I had the same questions when I did my lift.

how is the lower coil cpring cup positioned on the strut?

if the "cup" is facing down, then they're upside down and you didn't get ANY lift from the OME spring. if the coil cup is facing up, then it's correct and you will need either spacers or different springs w/ spacers...

the OME stuff works good for the rear, and i like their shocks, but i DON'T like their front coil springs...

The cups are facing up on the front. So...looks like I will be ordering some of those spacers soon...Do you know if they settle and become stiff like the DayStars? I have heard that the utimate solution is cornfeds? $$$$

FWIW... unless things have changed recently... ARB does not make a suspension kit for the 4Runners. They make it for the Prado, and it just so happens to fit our 4Runners.
