Sway Bar Quick Disconects For First Gen
So I have a 81 Toyota with a 5" lift, and I took it wheelin last weekend (first time since the new lift) and I left the sway bars in to see how it would do. It flexed pretty good for them being on, but they got bent beyond repair, and now I have to get new one's. So is there quick disconnect sway bars available for it, or is there a way to make my own(I don't have a welder)? The truck is my DD with occasional weekend 4wheelin, so i need sway bars.

You really don't need a sway bar.
I recommend at least removing it for a weekend, drive around town, etc and test it out.
I guarantee your new lift springs are stiff enough to control body roll that you won't notice a difference.
Just try it.

I took the truck on the freeway, back roads, and through the city. I actually handled better on the freeway than with sway bars, and the only time I noticed more body roll was around sharp corners.
Thanks for your help and the cheap fix.
