Suggestions and Pro Comp Shock Numbers for BJ Lft
I know it had been gone over before. But fromt he threads I wasn't able to draw any real conclusions. I just ordered some 2" rear shackles and 1.5" Ball joint spacers. Are my Rancho shocks that fit stock going to work? Or do I need something different int he front and/or rear? Also can anyone offer any advice about installing either one. I know there are a million pages out there explainign this procedure, just wondering if anyone has any advice. I have just rebuilt my AISIN hubs and they are operating properly, and my CV's appear to be in good shape.

Here is what I found from Pro-Comp. They make a shock for 2"-3" Lift. Do you guys think that the 2"-3" lift shocks would work well with a Ball Joint Spacer and 2" shackles in the rear? Here is the info from the pro comp web site:
LIFT ES3000(F/R) ES9000(F/R)
86-95 4WD p/u 0"- 1" 314014 321506 914014 921506
86-95 4WD p/u 2"- 3" 317514 322506 917514 922506
86-95 4WD p/u 4" 318514 326506 918514 926506
the spacing is messed up.... the first colum is truck year. The next one is amount of lift and the next two are the part numbers front and rear for ES3000's and ES9000's.

The best answer would be to put on the spacers and shackles and then measure your shock length, extended and compressed. Find out if your current shocks are too shoft and if so by how much, then see if you can find out the actual compressed and extended lengths of the new shocks and see if there is a good match. How to test the shock travel?
