Steering/Frame clearance issues

Steering/Frame clearance issues
First off, this is a great site! I've found many answers to my many questions. Here is one question which I have not found an answer...yet. I have a 2002 dcab tacoma with a 6" fabtech lift with 33's. There is rubbing on the rear portion of the front fender wells. I was hoping to add a 1" BL to fix the issue, but upon inspection of the geometry of the fabtech steering extension being very, very close to the frame, (about 1/16 of an inch) it is impossible add the one inch steering spacer and clear the frame. Any suggestions? Are there any aftermarket products to fix the steering/frame issue? I'm guessing there must be a workaround as I read that some of you have different combinations of suspension/body lifts. Thanks for the input.

Your right, the best thing would be some minor body work to the front fender well for clearance and probably the most inexpensive. As for the closeness of the steering shaft to the frame, the 4x4 shops around here said that it was fairly normal with 6" fabtech lift. Thanks, all.
