Small front lift

I am concidering BJ spacers for the front and from my research I found it is best to put longer shocks in conjunction with them. My question is can I just put some longer shocks when I do my lift with out the BJ's to get a little exta lift than with just stock length shocks? I know shocks dont give all your lift, but if I cramed like 1 or 2 inch longer shocks would that do anything? Like Rancho 5153 which are 14.79 extended and 9.67 collapsed compared to 13.97 ext. and 9.26 coll. stock, or with any other combo of shock that will possibly fit.

I just want to do a 1.5 lift in the back and a small one in the front to mainly help clear the tires Im getting (32x11.50's). I dont really want to crank the t bars either. I feel kinda stupid cause I dont think this will do anything, but make me look dumb. o well.

Thanks

I can make 1/2" and 1" (as well as 1.5") ball joint spacers for the lower lifts:

Drop me an e-mail or PM for more info...

Increasing shock length wont give you any lift.... however I have a buddy that says nitro shocks actually give you about 1/4" or so of lift.... Anyone know anything about this?

A high pressure gas shock will have some extension force due to the gas pressure. Sometimes they push out pretty hard so depending on the load on the front end and the spring rate, you may see a little lift squeezing a gas shock in place.

Thanks guys, thats what I was expecting. Thanks 4crawler I just might get a 1 inch BJ spacer, I think if I go with too much lift in the front like a 1.5 then my runner will still end up with a squat when only a 1.5 rear lift is added.

I would really like a 3 inch in the back and a 1.5 in the front, I think that would look and be the best, but Im still trying to stay on a budget. I dont know if a 1.5 rear and say a .5-1 inch lift in the front will look and be the best. To clear 32x11.50's

I also read somewhere in here, that Flygt thinks some of his steering problems might be due to his 1.5" BJ spacers so maybe going with shorter ones might reduce breakage? Just a thought...
