shocks with 3" rear lift

I have the hd spacers and allpro coils.. I am wondering if the rancho 5009's are the correct shock or not? any help here would be greatly appreicated.. Oh and I am already running the 5167's up front so I would like to keep with the rancho's.. Unless someone has a bilstein hookup..

I have a Rancho catalog. What year/model/lift do you have?

I have the 5009 and they are perfect for that set up provided you have made some panhard adjustment. If not, you gas tank and shaft will have issues.

Rancho's catalog does not show shocks for a 3" lift 4Runner. But looking at the shock length, the 0-1" shock (5187) is 13.00" X 20.75"(colapsed X extended) The 5009 is 15.625" X 26.250" (listed for 70-79 Ford 2wheel truck)

It looks like it would work dimension wise. 2 1/2" longer colapsed, 5 1/2" longer extended.

We put stock '96 Cruiser rear shocks on a buddy's '90 Runner, fit great with Cruiser coils, 14.5" x 24".

I bought my 4runner with a set of Downey HD coils in the rear that the prior owner bought to level the ride out. I added a set of BJ spacers in front and a set of Downey spacers on the rear springs in order to fit some 33x10.50's. Now my tires are worn down and I want to get everything straight and fixed properly before I put on my new 33x12.50's.

-I know that I can get a Panhard drop bracket from downey for about $40 to fix the rubbing issues for the driveline and gas tank.

-Now I am switching to Allpro rear coils because the rear end is saggging with the Downey HD coils. I'm not sure how old they are but since I put the BJ spacers and the coil spacers on the rear seems to be saggging worse as time goes on.

-Then I'm getting the front end aligned to fix the horrible camber issue with the front BJ spacers (they really messed up the wear on my BFgoodrich MT's). Hopefully this will solve the issues.

You can? Directly from Downey? Is this confirmed? I've never heard of downey selling it seperately from their kit.

I called them up a month or two ago and asked about it and they said that I could order just the drop bracket. I'll be calling again soon to make sure and I'll post a reply.
