red or yellow

should i get the red top or yellow top opt battery?

i dont have tons of off road lights... no winch.... and a simple stereo with a small amp. i dont plan on doing much radio playing with the engine off.

what do u guys think?

I'd go with the orange top. It's basically a red top with the poles reversed, so hopefully you wouldn't have to extend the cables. Can anyone confirm this?

BTW... the best price I've seen for optimas is here, but I don't know anythign about the company.

the marine battery is built to take even more abuse than the red top.

The Orange Tops have been discontinued so if you get one beware, it may have been sitting around for a while. The replacement is a Red Top with the posts reversed (34R).

There have been a few guys here that have gone with the Yellow Tops. Do a search and you will come up with quite a bit of info.

thanks for all your input guys! ok, here it goes... i went with a "normal" battery for $50. i figured id rather pay for a new optima yellow later than be super strapped now... coz seriously, im strapped for cash.

imma go with the yellow. someday
